Original claims for compensation
-if you have never filed a claim for compensation from the department of veteran affairs, this is considered an original claim for compensation and a complete VA-form 526 is necessary to start your claim process.
- Initially we will review all service medical records and provide a detailed summary of findings of chronic conditions for which you may seek compensation. In addition we will show how the chronic conditions that were discovered, is related to a certain disability rating that would probably be rendered from VA.
Claims for increased compensation and reopen claims
- If you have a current rating from VA and your service connected condition has increased in severity you are entitled to seek an increased in your compensation percentage.
- We will review your previous rating decisions and show you what is necessary to seek an increase for your particular condition
Discharge upgrades
- If you have an other-than-honorable discharge, we can assist you filing the necessary documents and represent you before the board of corrections if necessary
Appeals
- There is several ways to appeals a decision from VA.
- Notice of disagreement- typically within one year of a decision
- Appealing to the Board of Veterans Appeals- involves the filing of a form 9
- Representation before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims
